An American Success Story

Paul Held, the Founder, Owner, and President of ATD Precision, was born in Hungary. As a young man, Paul had the opportunity to become a skilled toolmaker. He came to America in 1956 and settled in Rochester, NY, USA. He brought with him his skill and experience as a toolmaker and a European work ethic that revolved around pride of workmanship.

Paul worked in various machine shops for a number of years until, in 1968, he founded Allstate Tool & Die - now known as ATD Precision. The company has grown steadily under Paul's direction. He realized early the benefits of CNC technology and was one of the first to invest in CNC machining equipment.

Over the years, ATD Precision has evolved from a small company making dies to a production CNC machining and assembly house. Today we employ 100 highly-skilled machinists, engineers, and technicians.

Paul's tenacity and dedication to his craft have helped ATD Precision become a leader in CNC machining. We have the reputation for taking on parts that are too difficult for other companies to manufacture.
